"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

I didn't think the Hub could do it: They managed to combine one of the worst TV show's in all herstory with one of the crappiest Transformers show's in all history*.
MY LIFE HAS NO MORE MEANING.
edit:
I'd start my own thread dedicated to Transformers, as a counterpoint to this thread, but I'd be the only one interested...
*Beast Machines and Energon were the only one's worse than Prime.

G1 Transformers was best.
And the 80's animated Transformers Movie is the only real Transformers Movie.
And Rainbow Dash did beat up Starscream . . not that it takes that much to beat up starscream because he is not characterized as the scientist he is supposed to be from his backstory . .
And there is FanArt Transformers-Pony.

A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

How so?
I don't like Bayformers.
I don't much care about Beast Machines, but more because of the CGI than anything else . .
I have no idea who Simon Furman is
I don't particularly care about the colour of Rumble
I love Transformers and i Tolerate different opinions, as demanded by Princess Luna!

Sorry, I forgot that people like context*. My bad. heh
His real name is Greg Sepelak. He's a TF fan and artist who does work for the brand. The tfwiki is acting screwy, otherwise I'd link to his page on the site. Instead, I'll link to a rant from 1997 that he wrote concerning "true fans", and your bit about "I love Transformers and i Tolerate different opinions" is what reminded me of him. Oddly enough, despite that rant being over ten years old, it's still can be incredibly relevent today, not just to the TF fandom, but the Pony fandom as well. Hell, any fandom at really.
*I don't know if anyone remembers, but I once posted somewhere that I'm waging a war on context. This is but a small victory for the enemy.

Random Transformer question, what's the opinion of Transformer's Prime? I think it's the best series since Beast Wars, I'm really looking forward to the season finale tomorrow. It's interesting to see how widely the different series vary in quality.

Heh. No, it's fine, really. Not Prime, but the concept that someone likes it.Stahlseele wrote:@Juton . . uuh them's fighting words O.o

From what I have gathered from reading on TFwiki, Prime seems to enjoy quite a bit of popularity within the fandom. I, myself, am not too fond of it, for several reasons.
(Just a warning: This is somewhat
The biggest of which is that it is somehow connected to the War for Cybertron games, and that connection feels really tacked on to me. This is probably due to the fact that Hasbro has created a new thing called the Aligned continuity, in which they're bascially saying, "Okay, every single new TF series, toyline, franchise, etc., that we introduce into the brand will be incorporated into this one, massive mega universe, so that no more new series have to take place in a new, seperate universe/continuity. Yes, this includes Rescue Bots, Steve*."
I can (somewhat) understand the concept behind why they did it, but I personally think it's stupid. A lot of the new series and toylines that they're introducing (Prime, Rescue Bots, the War for Cybertron games, Kreo, etc.) don't really fit together all that well, and the concept that they're all connected also kinda flies in the face of previously established fiction, where each mulitple universe is an aspect of Primus, the TF's creator-god. (Yes, they have a god. So what? It's badass.)
Of course, this is all just what I've observed, as well as being my personal opinion, so, make of this what you will.
If you like, then that's great. I seem to be in the minority when it comes to liking/disliking things anyway (I think DragonBall GT was okay, for example. It just takes... some getting used to).
And, yes, it is interesting how different the various series are. Beast Wars kicked seven and a half kinds of ass, but it's sequel, Beast Machines, sucked so bad it blew.
And don't even get me started on the Unicron Trilogy (Energon, anyone?)
Right, well, that's it for me and my TF related nonsense. I'll let you get back to your Pony-riffic blather.
(*I'm not referring to anyone real with this, I just think Steve is a funny name is this instance.)
edit: Oh, and prak, I'd prefer to also see a chart showing the most kosher parts of a pony.

What I can do, however, is a chart of the cuts of ponies, which is in my previous post, spoilered because it's god-damned huge.Whatever wrote:Ponies are not kosher, since they do not have a cloven hoof.Shrapnel wrote:edit: Oh, and prak, I'd prefer to also see a chart showing the most kosher parts of a pony.

Well, yeah.. If I had a snappy comeback, I'd say it right now.
As for where to sign up, I'd try the Axiom Nexus. If that doesn't work, go to BotCon.

Nothing wrong with that.
But who says it has to be mutually exclusive, with the brony fandom at work?^^

I was merely pointing out that the level of ponies was getting dangerously low in this thread.
